AKRON––Emerson Thomson Bennett, LLC, has announced the addition of a new associate Wöli Urbe, an intellectual property attorney who focuses his practice in the area of intellectual property litigation.
Urbe is an Ohio based intellectual property attorney who earned his bachelor’s degree in computer engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology in 2003. He earned his juris doctorate from Cardozo School of Law in 2013.
Urbe has extensive intellectual property litigation experience before U.S. district courts and the United States Patent and Trademark Office. His experience includes, patent, trademark and copyright infringement; unfair competition; Walker Process antitrust claim; trademark cancellation and opposition proceedings; and inter partes reviews.
Urbe also has considerable non-litigation experience including, counseling clients on IP matters, preparing trademark applications and assisting in prosecuting patent applications related to computer, software and electrical technologies.
Prior to joining Emerson Thomson Bennett, Urbe worked at an intellectual property law firm in New Jersey serving a diverse set of clients. He also worked as an engineer for a test and measurement company, assisting customers with utilizing power supplies to test cell phones, solar inverters, and various consumer electronics.
Urbe is a member of the Federal Bar Association (Northern District of Ohio Chapter) and Federal Bar Association (Intellectual Property Section).
